About

“Design isn’t just about making something cool. Cool is subjective. Cool is taste-driven. Cool isn’t always appropriate.”

Trenton (Trent) Reese

I was born and raised in Macon, GA, as the youngest of two siblings. Growing up, I was very competitive with my older brother and wanted to surpass him in something, so I took up drawing. This passion eventually led me to the world of design, where I now thrive. I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BFA in Graphic Design and minors in Animation and Japanese. Currently, I reside in the Atlanta area with my wonderful wife and freelance regularly with my business, Sneaky Octopus. In my spare time, I enjoy anime, video games, collecting sneakers, and hanging out with friends.

My creative approach—no matter the medium—is to first establish the goals of the client or business and then find creative, surprising, and elegant solutions to their problem(s). One common misconception about design is that it’s only about aesthetics. In reality, it’s also about how the decisions you make in a composition communicate the appropriate ideas. The fun part about design is that it’s integrated into almost every industry, and when done right, it can completely change your outlook on something.

For me, design isn’t just about creating cool things; it’s about making an impact. A design can be aesthetically beautiful, but simultaneously, an abject failure.
